San
Juan Capistrano is Orange County's oldest community.
It's the birthplace of Orange County and home to its
oldest traditions. It has its swallows, history,
legends, storybook heroes, and beautiful archeological
monuments. Most of that history is wrapped up and
epitomized by our living historic landmarks, the most
beautiful and best known of the California missions, old
Mission San Juan Capistrano-our mission! It belongs to
all of us. It's our inheritance.
San Juan Capistrano is one of the few places in Orange
County where there are equestrian centers and property
where you can have your own horses too. Located in
Rancho San Juan, The Oaks Blenheim Equestrian Riding
Park is a one of a kind premier equestrian center in
California. It's situated on over 40 acres. There is
also J.F Shea Therapeutic Riding Facility which works
with disabled adults and children to help improve their
physical, cognitive, and psychological skills and
abilities by using therapy horseback riding and other
equestrian programs to improve.
